Your Questions about the Original Band Aid Tummy Tuck Answered

Posted on August 19, 2011 3:47PM in Dr. LeRoy's Blog, Tummy Tuck

john leroy mdSince a tummy tuck is typically an involved procedure that focuses specifically on the abdomen, how is a Band Aid Tummy Tuck performed in-office under gentle numbing?

While a traditional tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a significant procedure, not every patient in need of a tummy tuck requires the full procedure. That’s exactly why I developed my “mini” tummy tuck. Using a different technique with my Band Aid version, I target areas that need the most attention. By focusing on these specific areas, only a short incision and gentle numbing are required.  However, the ideal candidate for such procedure should only have a small area of excess fat and tissue, as larger amounts require the full procedure.

Band-Aid Facelift Patient Story Atlanta Georgia

Posted on October 30, 2008 9:30AM in Patient Testimonials, Video Transcripts

I am a breast cancer survivor. I went through surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and then I founded and am President of a nonprofit foundation called Chemoflage. One of the main reasons that I wanted to investigate the Band-Aid face lift surgery was number one I did not want to be put to sleep. I have been through too much already. And number 2, I did not want downtime. In fact the following week, even though I had some stitches around my ears, I was able to go to the beach with my family, with my children and grandchildren. Dr. LeRoy is a very Southern gentleman and I am a very Southern, if you could not tell lady and we just hit it off very well. He is very kind. I felt his personality was very laid back and reassuring.

Rose’s Plastic Surgery Patient Testimonial

Posted on October 30, 2008 9:27AM in Patient Stories, Video Transcripts

One of the reasons that I was most interested in having the type of procedure that I did have done was because it was something that we do not have to be put to sleep completely. It was local. The recovery was wonderful. I actually could have gone out that very day, that I felt very comfortable. They make me feel that way. Dr. LeRoy is a delight and a true professional and any questions that I had, he could answer everything for me. I think that the one thing that I would have wanted to know from someone who had had the procedure before I was going to have it was what is the worst experience that I am going to have. What is the worst kind of pain that I am going to feel because you are awake during the procedure, you are not being put to sleep which is a wonderful advantage, and I would have to say that the one thing was the injections, which are the local injections that they put in and it is just like what you would experience when you went to the dentist when you have an injection put in for the Novocaine. At that one moment you feel the injection going in and immediately after that it is already numbing and then it is over.

Carl’s Otoplasty Ear Pinning Surgery Review

Posted on October 30, 2008 9:25AM in Patient Stories, Video Transcripts

I came in about three weeks ago to have my ears tapered. Had I known that the procedure was going to be as simple as it was, I would have examined and determined to have this type of surgery. Initially, I had about, you know, anxiety about living in groups and taking portraits, but I think since the surgery, I have regained a lot of strength and a lot of confidence. Dr. LeRoy’s office staff was very nice to me. They are very professional. I think after speak with him it was obvious that he was someone that I could relate to, someone who was concerned enough about my health to tell me those things that I needed. I think he just did a wonderful, wonderful job.

Carole’s Facelift Surgery Testimonial

Posted on October 30, 2008 9:21AM in Patient Stories, Video Transcripts

When I reached 65, I looked in the mirror and I saw a different face that I did not have before. I said to myself, I am going to give myself a birthday present. I am going to have my face done. Dr. LeRoy has been like a friend. If I wanted something extra he would say no, this is enough. You have to be natural and I would say but please. He says, “No, you are in my hands, I want you to look good.” It really has changed my life completely. People stop in the street and they go, “You are so pretty”, and at in fact I cannot believe that strangers are coming over to me and saying that to me.

Rosa’s Band-Aid Mini Facelift Experience

Posted on October 30, 2008 9:19AM in Patient Stories, Video Transcripts

I found Dr. LeRoy and I heard about his Band-Aid surgery and it is a very simple procedure. No anesthesia. Within 24 hours, I was actually taking a shower, washing my hair and wondered what kind of hairdo I am going to wear with this new face. Dr. LeRoy and his nurse were very calming. They talk to you, they make you laugh. You are not worried about what is going on. The main thing in your mind is how good are going to look when you get through and it was just a good experience. There are a lot of plastic surgeons in Atlanta and I did go to several, Dr. LeRoy was my choice because it did not cost an arm and a leg, I mean I really could not afford something that would cost a lot. I think everybody could have it done if they really wanted to.
