During the tumescent liposuction procedure, a mixture of saline solution, lidocaine, and epinephrine is injected into the area to be treated. The fluid works as an anesthesia and prevents significant loss of blood and other vital fluids during the liposuction procedure. The solution also makes the removal of fat easier.
