You don’t have to be superstitious to believe that good things come in 3’s. A common misconception many of my patients have is that just because your signs of aging are leaving the look of youth to be desired, a traditional facelift must always be the solution; however, this is not always the case. With over 20 years as a double board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in facial plastic surgery, I have finessed a line of minimally-invasive Band Aid facial rejuvenation procedures to precisely target the areas of most concern for my patients. Imagine dividing your face into three parts: upper (eyebrows and up), middle (eyes and nose) and lower (anything below the nose):
Upper: Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift is designed to address the upper part of the face by eliminating sagging skin, deep furrows and creases that often make us look older or more stressed than we actually are. With all of my Band Aid procedures, Band Aid Browlift doesn’t require general anesthesia but instead uses gentle numbing! I start by making small incisions within the hairline and contours of the ears before I remove excess skin and tighten the remaining skin for a subtle, more rejuvenated appearance of the eyebrows.
Middle: The eyes are a vital part of your appearance as they are often the first facial feature that another person notices. As we age, our skin becomes lax and can often cause excess bagginess to form around the eyes. Whether experiencing obstructed views due to hooded eyelids or if you’re tired of looking tired because of under-eye bags, Band Aid Eyelid Surgery can have a positive effect on your entire face. This less-invasive procedure, in comparison to traditional eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), removes excess fat and sagging skin around the eyes before the remaining skin is smoothed to create your rejuvenated look. Depending on the severity of your facial aging, eyelid surgery can also be performed on the upper, lower or both eyelids. As an added bonus, since my Band Aid procedures are performed in my office, Band Aid Eyelid Surgery is beneficial in that it creates dramatic, natural-looking results with significantly less downtime.
Lower: As you travel down the face you may notice that the skin along the jaw and neck has started to hang lower than it once did. The Band Aid Facelift procedure was innovated to provide maximum results in a simpler fashion than that of traditional facelifts. When I first developed the Band Aid Facelift in 1997, I wanted to not only address the early signs of aging but provide an effective procedure that could serve as a “refresher” for patients that had already had a facelift. During a Band Aid Facelift I use liposuction to remove fat from the cheeks and jawline followed by tightening underlying muscle and addressing remaining skin.
The main goal with any of my Band Aid plastic surgery procedures is to reveal your true beauty without creating a wind-blown appearance that signals you had cosmetic plastic surgery work done. It doesn’t matter what point in your aging you are at, there is never a time when it’s “too late” to turn back the hands of time and I will diligently work with you to create the best plan of action to produce the results you most desire. If you’re ready to get started on your journey to facial rejuvenation, please don’t hesitate to contact my office to set up a consultation.
