How to Make the Most of Spring

Spring has officially begun, and our weather has certainly shown it well, both with warmer temperatures and with those famous “April showers.” In general, people tend to spend more time cozy at home during the winter, and more time out and about during the spring and summer. But as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I often see the negative side of this: as my patients’ social lives ramp up, so do their insecurities about signs of aging, excess fat, or other aspects of their appearance. Here are some tips on how you can enjoy your spring a little more this year:

  • Start your cosmetic treatments or procedures early in the season

You’ll need to allow your body some time to heal, even after some non-surgical procedures like Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing. So if, for instance, you have cosmetic surgery in April, you can probably expect to be healed enough to enjoy your results by the time summer is in full swing (depending on your procedure, your unique anatomy, and other factors, of course). If you have a vacation planned, having your procedure early is even more important. For example, most of my patients are back to their daily activities within one to two weeks after a Band Aid Mini Facelift. But everyone’s body heals in its own unique way, so if you wait until two or three weeks before your vacation to have surgery, you run the risk of not feeling your best during the trip.

  • Investigate minimally invasive options.

Plastic surgery recovery doesn’t have to mean three or four weeks cooped up at home, and particularly during the spring and summer, it’s understandable to want to be back on your feet as soon as possible. That’s why I created my line of Band Aid procedures: surgical and nonsurgical options which are minimally invasive, performed in-office with gentle numbing so that both the recovery time and the cost are half of what a traditional plastic surgery would be. These procedures are most common for facial rejuvenation, such as Band Aid Eyelid Surgery, Band Aid Mini Facelift, Band Aid Brow Lift, Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift, Band Aid Skin Tightening, and Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing, but I also offer a highly successful Band Aid Tummy Tuck and Band Aid Liposuction as well.

  • Take advantage of cost-saving opportunities.

Between vacations and weekend activities, there are plenty of ways to use some extra “mad money” during the spring and summer. While all of my patients agree that unlocking their self-confidence is a worthwhile way to spend some money, you also don’t want to spend more than you need to. While my minimally invasive cosmetic procedures offer savings all year round, I’m also offering special discounts this month on two facial rejuvenation options: Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing and Band Aid Skin Tightening.

There is plenty to look forward to about the coming months, and with a little bit of extra planning, you can enjoy that time without feeling the weight of self-consciousness on your shoulders.
