How Do Botox® and Filler Injections Really Work?

When it comes to shopping, there are those who spend hours researching all of their choices thoroughly, and there are those who go with their gut instincts. Both methods have their pros and cons for different circumstances, but if the decision has anything to do with your health, taking the time to educate yourself is really the way to go. That same advice applies to cosmetic medicine, which is why, as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I am dedicated to teaching my patients about the many options they have for facial rejuvenation.

Two of the most popular anti-aging methods are botulinum toxin injections (like Botox® and Dysport®) and facial filler injections (like Restylane®, Juvéderm®, Radiesse®, and many more). Both of these treatments involve injections into specific facial areas to reduce fine lines and wrinkles for months at a time, but they each work in very different ways. My video below goes into more detail about these two successful and convenient treatments and how they work:

Information is one of your best tools for getting the anti-aging results you want.
