Special offers for facial rejuvenation are the perfect way to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin, keep your facelift results looking their best, or enhance the results of a recent face lift at Atlanta double board certified plastic surgeon, John L. Leroy, MD, FACS office.
Dr. LeRoy’s Blog
As a double board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in facial rejuvenation, I can personally attest to the fact that there is no one procedure that produces the best results for everyone. Thanks to genetics, sun exposure, smoking, and a litany of other factors, each person ages in their own way, so your age-defying treatments should be tailored to fit your unique anatomy and aesthetic goals. The solution can run the gamut from a 15-minute Botox® session to a comprehensive face lift, with non-surgical skin treatments and my minimally invasive Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift in between. This month, you can recapture your youth for less with special offers on several popular options.
As the latest addition to my unique line of minimally invasive, in-office surgical procedures, I have developed the Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift primarily as a way to address the aging that takes place in the three to four years after a patient’s facial rejuvenation surgery. At this point in time, many patients have seen enough new skin laxity and wrinkles appear that they want to refresh their results, but not enough that they’re ready for a new facelift or even a Band Aid Facelift. For these patients, the Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift can be the ideal option, and it offers exceptional savings as well, costing just half the price of a Band Aid Mini Facelift and requiring only half the recovery time.
Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing
For patients who are concerned more with fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, facial scars, and other surface imperfections than with sagging skin, Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing can address all of these issues in just one procedure. True to my “Band Aid” brand, the treatment I offer requires far less healing time than a traditional CO2 laser skin resurfacing, because it uses a pattern of tiny dots to stimulate the healing process with a natural and even look. If you’re considering Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing, try it this month to enjoy $1000 in savings.
Band Aid Skin Tightening
If your largest concern is skin laxity but you’re not quite ready for a surgical option, Band Aid Skin Tightening may be an ideal choice. This procedure is entirely non-invasive, meaning it does not break the skin. Instead, the Protégé system uses controlled warmth to heat the deep layers of the skin, causing your body to produce more collagen—the protein that naturally makes skin firm and smooth. Optimal results are seen after a series of five quick and comfortable treatments, and you can enjoy special savings this January.

The holidays have a way of making all of us take stock of our blessings and focus on the big picture. At our plastic surgery office in Atlanta, we have plenty to be grateful for this year, and all of you – our patients, families, friends, and supporters – are at the top of the list.
For the most part, our patients are people who are leading happy and fulfilling lives, but who have one issue that is always in the back of their minds: a lack of confidence in their appearance. While the holidays help us all remember the joy in our lives, the reunions with family and friends can also bring our insecurities to the surface, so for the hundreds of patients that I have worked with this year, this season is now an opportunity to enjoy the holidays without the nagging of self-consciousness.
At our cosmetic surgery office, we’ve had the same team for nearly ten years, including our Nurse Dorothy and our Surgical Coordinator Rebecca. That’s because we’re all truly passionate about the work we do and about helping our patients to be their most confident and beautiful selves. Few moments are more rewarding than when we see our patients return for their follow-up visits or for their Botox® and facial filler injections every few months and hearing them say how thrilled they are with the results of their cosmetic surgery. And as their board-certified plastic surgeon, I am honored every time a patient comes to me for help.
It’s been a great year for all of us, between introducing my new Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift, donating to four exceptional charities, and our own Rebecca becoming a mother. But most of all, we’ve enjoyed working with all of you toward reaching your aesthetic goals. Thank you for helping us make 2016 a memorable one and for your continued support throughout 2017 and beyond.

When it comes to looking younger, most of the conversation centers around the face. After all, it is typically the part of your appearance that others notice first. But if there’s one mistake that quickly gives away your age (no matter how much effort you’ve put into your face), it’s forgetting about your neck. Aging of the neck can happen at a rather young age, especially considering how much we tend to move our necks around on a daily basis, and it’s made even worse if you tend to carry excess fat under your chin. If it’s time for you to extend your anti-aging efforts from your face down to your neck, here are a few successful options:
Everyone thinks of a facelift as the primary plastic surgery to repair aging, and a neck lift is essentially the same concept, just focusing on a different area. Aging is a combination of thinning and sagging skin, along with the loosening and shifting of underlying muscle and other tissue. Neck lifts address each of these things directly by trimming away excess skin and restoring thickness and firmness to the remaining skin, while also tightening the neck muscles below. The result is a rejuvenated neck that looks years younger than it did before.
Band Aid Neck Lift
Throughout my career of more than twenty years as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I have developed a line of minimally invasive surgeries known as Band Aid procedures, like my well-known Band Aid Mini Facelift. These surgeries offer the precision and effectiveness of cosmetic surgery, but with half the downtime and at half the cost of their traditional counterparts. They are performed in-office with gentle numbing rather than general anesthesia, and because the focus is on making incremental changes over time to maintain a natural look, they’re often ideal for patients who are in the earlier stages of the aging process.
Band Aid Liposuction
In addition to being unhappy with the aged appearance of their neck, a large number of my patients also feel that they have too much fat under their chin as well (or in the “double chin,” as it is sometimes called). The problem can affect people of any age and size, but this fat can be particularly resistant to diet and exercise, so my minimally invasive liposuction can directly remove the stubborn fat. The reduced volume typically leaves patients looking not only thinning but younger, too. If your neck has experienced a combination of both excess fat and aging, Band Aid Liposuction can often be performed during a neck lift or a Band Aid Neck Lift.
Band Aid Skin Tightening
If you’re not quite ready for surgery, non-surgical skin tightening with Protégé technology can be an ideal solution. As an entirely non-invasive treatment (meaning it doesn’t break the skin) which uses precisely controlled warmth to heat the deeper layers of skin. This prompts your body to produce more skin-firming collagen, resulting in more youthful-looking skin after a series of five comfortable treatments.
Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing
As another non-surgical skin treatment option for turning back the clock on your appearance, Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing uses tiny columns of laser light to activate the body’s healing process while clearing away damaged surface skin. Because of this approach, Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing treats not only skin laxity and wrinkles but also age spots, scars, and other surface imperfections.
It may come as bad news to fans of injectables like Botox® and Juvéderm® that these products aren’t typically used for the neck area, but rest assured that you still have a wide enough array of options available to find the best one for you. To get started and discuss all your anti-aging treatment options, schedule a consultation with me, Dr. John L. LeRoy, Atlanta’s facelift specialist. Finding the right physician (not just in plastic surgery but in any field of medicine) can be quite a journey. For some patients, their ideal doctor is blunt, while others prefer one who is more nurturing. One patient may want their physician to be quick during consultations, while another prefers one who spends more time with them. These varying types of doctors exist in every specialty, from family medicine to oncology, and even in plastic surgery.
After more than twenty years of working with patients as a double board-certified plastic surgeon, I’ve recognized that for a patient who is choosing their surgeon, there are two important pieces of the puzzle: the surgeon’s qualifications or medical ability (including cosmetic surgery before and after photos to show the results they’ve achieved) and their personality. In order for a procedure to go smoothly, it’s crucial that the surgeon and the patient feel comfortable enough with each other to openly and honestly communicate. My video below elaborates further on the importance of blending these qualities, and on the personality my own practice projects.
As intimidating as it may seem to find the right surgeon for you, plastic surgery doesn’t need to be a decision made in haste. You should take your time to research your options (paying close attention to whether or not the doctor specializes in your specific procedure) and to meet with several surgeons before you make your choice. To get started with a plastic surgery consultation, call our office to schedule your appointment. For many of us, there comes a point in the weeks before a social event (like a wedding, a reunion, or even just holiday get-togethers) when we start to think about how we’re going to look our best for the big day. If you’re looking for a solution for the upcoming holidays, timing plays an important role. While it can take months for your new look to fully resolve after plastic surgery, there are also plenty of options with shorter timelines.
As a treatment that’s so popular it’s become a household name, Botox® and the similar option Dysport® target specific facial muscles that have become tense and furrowed. By relaxing the muscles, the injections smooth away expression lines like crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows (or “number 11s”). This procedure also happens to be one of the easiest to fit into a tight schedule, because the treatment itself generally takes 10-15 minutes. The results can begin appearing as soon as 24-48 hours later, with the full effect generally visible within a week, and the results typically last three to four months.
Facial Filler Injections
As their name suggests, these injections “fill in” facial wrinkles like smile lines (also called nasolabial folds), marionette lines, and other wrinkles around the mouth and nose. Some varieties can also be used to replace facial volume that has been lost in the aging process, providing softer and more youthful contours. We offer several types of facial fillers (such as Restylane®, Juvéderm®, and Radiesse®) in order to give each patient the best possible results, but all filler injections offer the advantage of a quick treatment time and little or no downtime. Depending on the type of filler used and the procedure itself, patients may have some initial swelling and bruising, so the final results are typically visible after a few days, and they can last anywhere from six months to two years. At your facial filler consultation, we will determine the ideal options for your cosmetic goals and discuss the expected results based on the recommended formula.
Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing
True to my unique line of minimally invasive Band Aid procedures, Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing is a milder yet still highly effective twist on traditional laser skin resurfacing. Rather than impacting every square inch of skin throughout the face and neck, Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing uses DOT™ technology—columns of laser light create tiny “treatment zones” with untouched skin between them. By working with the body’s natural healing process, the result is that all the skin throughout the face and neck is rejuvenated, but with significantly less recovery time. The procedure itself is brief, and after an initial period of sunburn-like redness and peeling, your refreshed skin will be ready to show off in around seven to ten days.
Band Aid Skin Tightening
While you won’t be able to see much improvement by the holidays, those who want to firm and tighten skin throughout their face and neck can see great results if they start planning three to four months in advance. As an entirely non-invasive procedure (meaning the skin is never broken), Band Aid Skin Tightening uses precisely controlled warmth to help the skin rebuild collagen—the component that gives skin its elasticity and youthful firmness. While you may start to notice results after your third treatment, the improvement continues for two to three months after a series of five weekly sessions, and results typically last up to two years.
Some of the treatments above can produce results in as little as a week or less, but here’s a word to the wise: schedule your consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon as early as possible, so you can have a wider array of options available and so that you can plan your appointment(s) for the ideal time window. Call us today to set up your consultation. Or, for more plastic surgery information, anti-aging tips, and monthly special offers, follow me, Dr. John L. LeRoy on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
When we reach a certain age, nearly all of us would like to look younger, especially when we feel decades younger than we look. But a quick Google search will show you that there are countless treatments, creams, surgeries, and therapies which claim to take years off your face, so the dilemma becomes, “which one is the right one for me?” First of all, it’s important to only trust your health to a truly qualified and licensed professional like a board-certified plastic surgeon. But even this doesn’t really cut the list of choices down to an easy few, so to help you navigate your options, we’re breaking it down by four distinct treatment levels.
Patients often ask, “At what age is it time for a face lift? At what age should I start having Botox® injections?” The reality is that everyone ages in their own way, and just as a dermatologist can’t diagnose a rash from a description, I need to conduct a personal exam and consultation in order to know how to best help you reach your aesthetic goals. If you’re ready to get started, schedule an appointment at my office. Or, for more cosmetic surgery tips, monthly special offers, and helpful information, follow me, Dr. John L. As a double board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes primarily in facial rejuvenation, I’m constantly reminding patients that aging is an ongoing process, so if they want to continue to look their best, their anti-aging efforts must be ongoing as well. That’s why I have adopted the philosophy that gradual, natural-looking improvements produce the best results long-term. With this technique, many of my patients can feel continuously happy with their appearance, fight signs of aging before they worsen, and often avoid ever having a traditional facelift. My latest development in keeping with this goal is the new Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift.
The line of minimally invasive “Band Aid” procedures began nearly 20 years ago with the Band Aid Facelift. During my fellowship with the exceptional surgeons at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, I noticed that some patients were coming in for their second or third facelift, so I decided to design a surgery with this in mind—rather than making results as extensive as possible so they last as long as possible (risking the “overdone” or “windblown” look in the process), my Band Aid Mini Facelift keeps the results looking natural, so patients simply look like a younger version of themselves. By using specialized techniques, I am able to perform this surgery in-office with gentle numbing rather than general anesthesia, offering patients a milder and more cost-effective procedure with just half the recovery time of a traditional face lift.
As is the case with any facial rejuvenation procedure, new signs of aging will eventually arise after a Band Aid Mini Facelift. While some patients address these new wrinkles and skin laxity with non-surgical procedures, like Band Aid Skin Tightening and/or Band Aid Laser Skin Resurfacing, others find themselves needing a more precise and significant option after a few years. That’s why I developed the new Band Aid Micro Mini Facelift as a way to “touch up” and maintain your surgical results, usually around three to four years after your original surgery. As an even lighter version of the facelift, this procedure requires just half of the recovery time and cost of the minimally invasive Band Aid Facelift.
Facial rejuvenation (and any plastic surgery, for that matter) is far from one-size-fits-all. If you’re interested in looking like a younger, more refreshed version of yourself, schedule a consultation with me, Dr. John L. LeRoy, to discuss your options. As a double board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery for the face, one of the most common questions I hear is, “how much younger can you make me look?” The answer is not as straightforward as you might expect. In fact, my philosophy is not “the more dramatic the results, the better.” Instead, I focus on giving patients a natural, rested, rejuvenated look. I specifically work to avoid making patients look “overdone” or making them feel like they don’t recognize the face in the mirror.
So, with the goal of helping my patients look like a younger version of themselves, I often recommend a less invasive and extensive alternative to the traditional facelift. The Band Aid Mini Facelift is a surgery I developed nearly twenty years ago, using specialized techniques which allow for exceptional results with half the recovery time and half the cost of a typical face lift, all performed in-office with gentle numbing rather than general anesthesia. If you think you are a candidate for a Band Aid Facelift, check out my video below for the answer to your question, “how much younger can I look after a Band Aid Mini Facelift?”
One of the keys to a successful plastic surgery experience is finding the right balance between the procedure and the results. In other words, how simple of a procedure can you have while still achieving results that meet your goals? Cosmetic surgery is more customized than most patients initially realize. For instance, one patient’s facelift (or, in some cases, the less invasive Band Aid Mini Facelift I developed twenty years ago) may focus on smoothing and rejuvenating the cheekbone area while another’s may primarily impact sagging skin around the jawline. A surgeon who uses the exact same steps and incisions for every face lift will only be able to offer ideal results for a small number of people with a specific facial structure.
It’s always a good idea to do some research and to learn about the surgery you’re considering, and in the course of doing this, many facial rejuvenation patients come across advertising for “franchised” procedures—a method developed by one physician or a group which is then given a “brand name” so that surgeons throughout the country can purchase the rights to perform it. Unfortunately, this can leave little room for the customization that is so crucial to achieving successful results for every patient. After all, you expect your hair stylist to tailor your haircut to make you look your best, so why wouldn’t you expect the same from plastic surgery?

We all have our own “rules” about when we’re willing to pay for quality and when we choose the least expensive option available, but it’s safe to say that if there is anything you should choose based on quality, it’s your medical care. Preparing for cosmetic surgery can be exciting, but maintain enough self-awareness to avoid getting swept up in the marketing “hype” for franchised procedures.
